Every year since the mid-1990s, the DLG has surveyed a panel of around 700 farmers on brand awareness, loyalty, performance and image of companies in the categories of agricultural technology, animal farming technology, farm inputs for animal farming, agrochemicals and seeds, trade and services, banks and insurance, and renewable energy. The results are published annually in seven TOP 10 categories.
All companies in the respective rankings have the opportunity to advertise with the TOP 10 brand label of the DLG ImageBarometer.
Results of the DLG ImageBarometer 2025
The annual DLG ImageBarometer entered its 28th round at the turn of the year 2024/2025 and, as every year, the results are eagerly awaited in the industry. While the number of farms in Germany is continuously falling, professionalisation among farm managers is increasing significantly. In addition, in many cases a continuous and significant increase in investment sums is required in order to make farms fit for the future.

If you wanted to describe the economic development of recent years in one word, the term ‘rollercoaster’ would certainly be on the shortlist. The agribusiness, and specifically the DLG ImageBarometer, has also been up and down at times. In the run-up to the 2024 survey, the markets, disrupted by the Russia-Ukraine conflict, calmed down again and a record AGRITECHNICA followed.
