AlgaEurope 2024, one of the leading annual conferences dedicated to advancements and trends in the algae biomass sector, concluded successfully, bringing together an impressive 424 delegates from 43 countries and 256 organizations. Jointly organized by the European Algae Biomass Association (EABA) and DLG Benelux, the event was held from 10 - 13 December 2024 in Athens, Greece. Over four enriching days, the conference served as a global platform for science, technology, and business collaboration in the algae industry.

In times of heat and drought stress, what is the best way to keep water in the soil so that it is available for the plant at the right time? Heat in summer or even in spring and fall causes groundwater supplies to dwindle. But there are ways to keep water in the field, store it and even harvest it.
In semi-arid regions of India, reliable rainfall predictions are vital for sustainable crop yields. As climate change disrupts rainfall patterns, farmers face increased uncertainty. My research leverages remote sensing to utilize vegetation status as a rainfall indicator, helping farmers in data-scarce areas make timely irrigation decisions and conserve precious water resources.
Livestock farms always attach particular importance to animal feed and feeding in terms of farm inputs; consequently, considerations regarding management sustainability are also very well reflected in this area.
Based on these results, the self-propelled Claas Jaguar 960 forage harvester is awarded the “DLG APPROVED” quality mark for the individual test criterion “Functionality and quality of work on silage maize”.

The agricultural tractor tyre combination MAXAM AGRIXTRA XL VF 710/70 R 42 and MAXAM AGRIXTRA XL VF 600/70 R 30 impressed in the DLG test. Based on the results achieved, the ‘DLG-APPROVED test mark is awarded for the ‘Resource Protection’ testing module.
