We keep livestock farmers up to date on the latest technology and support them in using state-of-the-art equipment and processes to increase the productivity and sustainability of their farms.
We analyse innovative technological approaches for optimising animal-friendly handling methods. We promote the exchange of knowledge and experience in order to develop sustainable solutions to the challenges of animal farming. Our goal is to improve efficiency, quality and animal welfare through technical innovations.
The DLG Committee for Technology in Animal Farming
In the DLG Committee on Technology in Animal Farming, farmers, scientists, consultants and industry representatives address current technical issues in the field of agricultural animal husbandry. In working groups, we identify current challenges across all animal species and develop appropriate solutions. The knowledge gained is then communicated widely via various channels and formats. We come together twice a year for two-day meetings at different locations and also organise excursions to innovative farms or institutions. The 16 members are supplemented by guests who participate in the working groups on specific topics.
