We support farmers in making informed decisions through improved accounting and economic control.
We develop and improve tools for analysing the operations of agricultural enterprises, including branch accounting, annual financial statement analysis and controlling. Our objectives are to draw up guidelines and recommendations for action for profitability analysis and to standardise these methods at the national level. This enables broad comparability of farms and regions and strengthens the value of economic statements as a management tool for farms. In view of the increasing diversity in organisational and legal forms, this work is becoming more and more important. Our activities are aimed at providing practice-orientated solutions to ensure a well-founded and comparable profitability analysis for agricultural businesses.
The DLG Committee for Business Consulting and Accounting
The DLG Committee for Business Consulting and Accounting is a committee that deals with the preparation, intensive discussion and standardisation of terms and calculation methods for profitability control in agricultural enterprises. Our committee is made up of experienced advisors, farmers and scientists. We organise regular committee meetings on economic consulting and accounting issues and produce publications on these topics in order to provide practical insights and recommendations for agricultural practice.
