With our commitment, we want to promote the discussion and implementation of innovative strategies and concepts in order to support the sustainable development and future viability of the agricultural sector both nationally and globally.
We promote the competitiveness and profitability of agricultural businesses as well as the analysis of various organisational concepts. We are actively involved in the development of the upstream and downstream sectors as well as the economic and social framework conditions in companies. A central focus is on the international development of agriculture and agribusiness. We analyse production systems, markets and economic conditions abroad and evaluate the significance of these developments for agriculture in Germany. Our work aims to develop practical solutions that increase the competitiveness and efficiency of farms and contribute to the further development and adaptation of German agriculture to international trends and challenges.
The DLG Committee on Farm Management
The DLG Committee on Farm Management promotes the exchange of opinions and experience between its members. Another important objective is the identification of relevant topics for farm management and discussion at the public committee meetings at the DLG winter conference. The committee is made up of innovative agricultural entrepreneurs from arable farming and speciality crops, dairy cattle, pig and poultry farming as well as organic production. The focus is on analysing economic, market and social developments with significance for agricultural business management.
