The DLG Working Group on Feed and Feeding is the working platform for the development of generally applicable feeding recommendations in Germany. This takes place in a strong professional exchange between all participants from science, consulting, analytics and business. Other expert institutions and persons are involved in the processing of current topics.

The DLG Working Group on Feed and Feeding draws up and coordinates recommendations for sustainable livestock feeding and feed management with regard to animal health, economy, ecology and consumer protection.
Activities and areas of responsibility of the committee
- Addressing current and long-term issues of particular importance in feed management and livestock feeding
- Developing recommendations
- Nationwide coordination of expert statements based on scientific findings
- Information on modern, economical and animal and environmentally friendly methods of animal production, taking into account consumer protection and market requirements
