At a time when the dairy industry is facing a multitude of challenges, it is crucial to initiate innovative solutions. Our goal is to help professionals actively shape the future of the dairy industry with up-to-date analyses, quality programmes and best practice.
To intensify the DLG's technical work in the field of milk processing and its upstream and downstream areas, a committee was set up in 2011 with experts from practice, science and consulting as well as multipliers from the industry. The DLG Committee for Milk Technology and the former Commission for the Dairy Industry were transferred to the DLG Committee for Milk at the beginning of 2024.
The DLG Committee for Milk
The committee is primarily concerned with milk as a food, dairy products and their technologies. The special focus of the specialised work is on identifying relevant topics for the processing and treatment of milk and dairy products with the attempt to identify possible solutions. The entire value chain is considered here. Questions aimed at developing and emerging countries also play a role here. The DLG, with its international contacts, offers an ideal platform for this. The DLG technical programme at the world's leading trade fair for food technology, Anuga FoodTec, also offers the opportunity to exchange ideas.
The committee meets twice a year for a working session, preferably at different locations with practical relevance. Guest participation is possible on request.
