We provide inspiration for the development and promotion of innovative and sustainable packaging solutions in the supply chain and consider challenges in the areas of packaging materials, packaging machines and disposal.
The Committee for Food Packaging in the Supply Chain was established in 2017 as the Working Group for Food Packaging in the Supply Chain and has been operating as a committee since 2024. Chaired by Prof Markus Schmid, it is dedicated to interface topics in the value and supply chain in the areas of machinery, packaging materials, food and logistics.
Topics such as process optimisation, digitalisation, sustainability and hygiene play a key role here. The DLG, with its national and international contacts, offers the ideal platform for this. The DLG technical programme at the world's leading trade fair for food technology, Anuga FoodTec, also offers the opportunity to exchange ideas.

Der Ausschuss kommt zweimal pro Jahr digital und in Präsenz an wechselnden, praxisrelevanten Orten zu einer Sitzung zusammen. Seine Mitglieder sind Expertinnen und Experten aus Wirtschaft, Wissenschaft und Beratung sowie Multiplikatoren. Die Teilnahme von Gästen ist auf Anfrage möglich.
