We deal with current topics, solutions and husbandry concepts that are relevant for pig farmers and ensure their future viability.
We see ourselves as a professional network, provider of ideas and solution provider for current and long-term issues in the pig value chain from the perspective of the farms. The members of the committee therefore primarily come from practice and consulting. Our content focuses on the topics of sustainability, husbandry, marketing, economics and communication. We regularly consider topicality and future relevance when addressing the topics.
The DLG Pig Committee
The members of the DLG Pig Committee meet every six months to continuously analyse the key issues in the pig farming sector and communicate them to the target groups on the DLG platforms. The committee also aims to promote the transfer of knowledge in the areas of production technology, management and economics of pig farming in practice. Other tasks include the organisation of specialist events as part of the DLG Entrepreneur Days, the DLG Winter Conference, national and international DLG exhibitions and the DLG Academy.
