Agriculture & Food scholarship programme
The DLG Young Talents Award is awarded annually by the DLG in form of scholarships for further training measures. The aim is to promote the personal and professional development of young talents in agriculture and the food industry.
The DLG Young Talents Award is awarded in form of a maximum of 10 nominees and a maximum of 3 award winners. The award winners are also nominees.

Main prize
- Outstanding Personality of the Year - Food & Agriculture
- Age limit up to and including 36 years
Special prize
- Is awarded for an annually changing current topic in the agricultural or food industry.
- Age limit up to and including 36 years
Junior prize
- for the target group of trainees and students
- Age limit: 18 up to and including 24 years
You can apply for the Young Talents Award if..
- you are under the age of 36
- you have practical experience in agriculture or the food industry– including both upstream and downstream economic sectors
- who actively volunteer
- you are open-minded and outgoing beyond national borders and like to think outside the box
- you have a clear goal in mind

Motivation video requirements:
- In a motivational video, please briefly describe your previous commitment to agriculture/the food industry and voluntary work and what goals you have for your professional and personal future in the medium and long term.
- Against this background, describe and explain how you would like to use the DLG Young Talents Award to achieve the above-mentioned goals (company internship, technical school, study trip, etc.).
- The motivational video should be a maximum of 3 minutes long.
- The decisive factor is the content of the video, which can be shot on a mobile phone. It does not have to be a professional video.
