Women in Ag Award 2026

Categories Jury Partners

The Women in Ag Award honours outstanding women shaping the future of agriculture — in agribusiness, farming, technology, research, and education. The international award is presented by the Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (DLG) in collaboration with Women in Ag Magazine, providing women worldwide with a platform for visibility, networking, and impact.

The Female Agri Fellows network connects the award with a growing international community of women from the agricultural sector, united by a commitment to exchange, inspiration, and mutual empowerment.

The winners will be announced on 14 October 2026. The award ceremony will take place at EuroTier 2026.

More and more women around the world are actively shaping the future of the agricultural sector.

The award recognizes women who are making a lasting impact on agriculture with new ideas and innovative approaches.

Winners are given a platform to make their success visible and to network globally with experts.

The international prize is awarded jointly by “Women in Ag magazine” and the DLG in four categories and is presented at AGRITECHNICA or EuroTier.

Categories

The “Women in Ag Award” is presented in four categories to the top three winners in each.

Farming

For women who primarily work in agricultural production. At least 80% of income comes from crop farming, livestock, or intensive systems. Includes processing of own products.

Agribusiness

For women who provide products, services, or solutions to farmers, but are not primary producers themselves. Examples: consultancy, input supply, machinery, technology or service providers.

Education

For women who teach, train, or communicate agricultural knowledge, often in publicly or institutionally funded roles. Their focus is on making agriculture accessible and understandable.

Technology and Research

For women who develop, test, or commercialise new technologies or research-based innovations. Includes AgTech start-ups, research institutions, digital tools, and advanced production technologies.

Applications are open to women from all over the world who work in agriculture, agribusiness, animal farming, research and development, teaching, journalism or as bloggers and influencers.

Applications for the next Women in Ag Award will open in spring 2027.

The Women in Ag Award supports this initiative and aims to contribute to improving the situation of women in agriculture worldwide.
