Every year since the mid-1990s, the DLG has surveyed a panel of around 700 farmers on brand awareness, loyalty, performance and image of companies in the categories of agricultural technology, animal farming technology, farm inputs for animal farming, agrochemicals and seeds, trade and services, banks and insurance, and renewable energy. The results are published annually in seven TOP 10 categories.
All companies in the respective rankings have the opportunity to advertise with the TOP 10 brand label of the DLG ImageBarometer.

The Russian war of aggression against Ukraine had a huge impact on agricultural markets. Within the space of a year, many parameters have changed, inflation and interest rates have risen to sometimes dizzying heights and the cost of energy and operating materials has threatened to jeopardise entire businesses, and not just in agriculture. The DLG ImageBarometer 2022/2023 shows the appeal of brands in this environment.
