DLG Technicians' Conference

27 and 28 January 2026 | Hanover

The platform for crop production research

56th meeting of the DLG Committee for Plant Production Research

Every year at the end of January, Hanover hosts the DLG Technicians' Conference, an event specifically for crop production research. More than 800 participants from all over Germany and neighboring countries come here to see not only technical innovations, from combine harvesters to field sprayers, but also software solutions for soil assessments, useful aids for the field, and protective equipment. In addition to this technology show, more than 30 specialist presentations showcase innovations, ideas, and developments, as well as training and further education opportunities. The wide range of presentations covers both practical and organizational aspects.

The event offers participants:

  • Presentation of new developments from leading manufacturers of testing technology
  • Presentation of state-of-the-art machines and equipment
  • Direct contact with companies on site
  • Information about new, current developments in the field of field testing
  • Qualified lectures for the further training of testing technicians
  • Current topics from the fields of crop production, plant breeding, and plant protection
  • Exchange of experiences and networking

The symposium is therefore aimed at all employees in the field of agricultural research—from agricultural technicians and plant technologists to station managers. The aim is to promote understanding of work processes and the complex interrelationships in research stations between the various levels.
