Launch Your Vehicle in the EU

Regulation (EU) No 167/2013 governs the EU-wide type approval of agricultural and forestry vehicles and their systems, components and separate technical units. It lays down the legal and technical requirements that must be met in order for tractors, trailers and towed equipment to be approved and freely traded within the EU. The aim is to standardise the approval of vehicles within the EU and to enable the free movement of goods.

EU type approval (homologation) for agricultural vehicles such as tractors, trailers or towed equipment is a complex process governed by EU Framework Regulation (EU) 167/2013 and numerous delegated regulations. In practice, however, manufacturers, retailers and distributors face several challenges, including the complexity of the legal provisions relating to the EU framework regulation and its application and implementation in national registration or EU type approval.

On 11 November, from 10:30 to 10:55 a.m., Heinrich Wilking, Head of Homologation at DLG TestService, will explain the current requirements and approval procedures that enable manufacturers and distributors to place vehicles on the market on the Expert Stage at AGRITECHNICA SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS (Hall 17, H02). National and European approval procedures for vehicles will be discussed and tailor-made service packages will be presented.
