Major event from 16 to 18 June at the International DLG Crop Production Center Bernburg – Technology highlights and live music – State of Saxony-Anhalt welcomes guests – Guiding theme “Crop Production out of the Box” showcases innovative technologies and agricultural machinery in action – Overnight stays available on site – dlg-feldtage.de

Starting this Tuesday, Bernburg will become a meeting place for crop professionals from across Europe: from 16 to 18 June 2026, the DLG Feldtage event will take place at the International DLG Crop Production Center. The organizer, German Agricultural Society (DLG) expects around 20,000 visitors and more than 320 exhibitors, making it one of the largest events of its kind in Germany.

Under the slogan “Crop Production out of the Box,” the grounds near Strenzfeld, some 45 minutes from Leipzig by car, will be transformed into a large “festival of crop production,” where visitors can experience modern agriculture up close, directly in the field.

Bernburg in the spotlight – a showcase for the region

The choice of Bernburg as the host location is no coincidence: the region around the Magdeburg Börde, known for its fertile soils, is considered an ideal location for crop production.

The state of Saxony-Anhalt is also actively involved, presenting a wide range of interactive and informational offerings under the theme “Knowledge – Practice – Future,” including topics such as digitalisation, drone technology and sustainable farming. A highlight is the “Soil Experiment Field,” where visitors can take part themselves—collect soil samples, identify soil types and try out modern measurement technologies.

Technology, robotics and hands-on experiences

In addition to a comprehensive program for professionals, DLG Feldtage offers a broad range of agricultural machinery and innovations in AI, robotics and automation as a hands-on experience for all visitors:

  • Live machinery demonstrations with dozens of tractors and implements in action
  • The FarmRobotix area featuring field robots and AI technologies
  • An international competition where students compete with self-built field robots
  • Trial plots showcasing new crops and cultivation methods

These offerings are designed for active participation.

Exchange, networking and festival atmosphere

Alongside technology and innovation, interaction and networking are also central to the event. The exhibition grounds offer numerous spaces for exchange. The DLG Plaza invites visitors to come together, follow stage presentations and engage in discussions in a relaxed atmosphere.

There will also be opportunities to celebrate: on Wednesday evening (17 June), the DLG CropNight invites visitors to wind down the day with food, drinks and live music from the Bernburg band “Tänzchentee.” Admission is free for trade fair visitors.

Easy access – also for day visitors

The event site in Bernburg is easy to reach by car via the A14 and A36 motorways. Ample free parking is available on site. Tickets can be purchased in advance online (at a reduced rate) or at the box office. Visitors wishing to stay longer can also book accommodation directly on the grounds, ranging from their own tents to more comfortable “glamping” options.

Organisers and partners

Co-organizers include the Ministry of Economic Affairs Link, Tourism, Agriculture and Forestry of Saxony-Anhalt, the State Institute for Agriculture and Horticulture, and AGRAVIS Raiffeisen AG. Professional partners such as Vereinigte Hagel Insurance Mutual Association VVaG, the Union for the Promotion of Oil and Protein Plants (UFOP), the Federal Agency for Agriculture and Food, and other organizations will support the open-air exhibition as part of the technical program.
