SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS Forestry by DLG: Successful Premiere at INTERFORST 2026-agritechnica
Premiere for SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS Forestry by DLG – INTERFORST in Munich from 15 to 18 October 2026 – Added value for OEM designers, developers and purchasing professionals – Dedicated platform for direct exchange with suppliers of systems and components for innovative forestry machinery – systems-components-forestry
With the premiere of “SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS Forestry by DLG” at INTERFORST 2026, DLG (German Agricultural Society) and Messe München established a new meeting place for the forestry machinery industry. From 15 to 18 October, suppliers presented their components and system solutions in Hall B6 to a professional audience from development, engineering and procurement departments of forestry machinery manufacturers. The new exhibition area showcased solutions ranging from engines and hydraulics to driveline technology, vehicle electronics, spare parts and wear parts. The offering was complemented by additional forestry technology suppliers exhibiting in the outdoor area.
“The first edition of SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS Forestry has shown that the industry is actively taking advantage of the opportunity to meet face-to-face. OEMs showed strong interest in the new supplier area, everyone from purchasing managers to design and development engineers.. We're pleased with how the launch went and are coming away with a lot of great ideas for taking the format forward," said Petra Kaiser, Brand & Sales Manager, SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS.
A centerpiece of DLG's own stand, "SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS Forestry by DLG", was the Ponsse H7 harvester head. This highly complex unit served as a showcase for the many individual parts and components needed for a harvester head to perform its key functions reliably, from the hydraulic block and feed motor to the rotator and control unit. The exhibit attracted strong interest from visitors.
The official program of the new exhibition platform kicked off on the first day with an informal networking event at the DLG stand, where industry experts, forestry machinery manufacturers, and suppliers came together to exchange ideas and discuss current developments.
On 17 October, DLG contributed its forestry expertise and global network to the INTERFORST technical programme. Moderated by Thomas Wehner, Head of Forestry at DLG, the session focused on digital applications and robotics in forestry:
- "Keynote – Vision. Innovation. Future." (DLG), including an introduction to the session
- "From Sensor to System: Tailored Microelectronic Solutions for Digital Forestry Applications" (Fraunhofer IIS)
- "AI in Forestry – A Revolution" (KWF)
- "Autonomous Robotics in Forestry" (Autonomous Mobile Robotics Lab, HAWK Göttingen)
Visitors responded particularly positively to insights into digital solutions in the fields of vehicle electronics, sensor technology and AI-based applications.
Feedback from exhibitors and organizers
Heikki Hihnala, Account Manager at AGCO Power, one of the exhibitors in the new SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS Forestry by DLG supplier area, drew a positive conclusion:
“We are very satisfied with INTERFORST 2026. The event provided an excellent opportunity to meet customers and key decision-makers, strengthen relationships and engage in valuable discussions about the future of forestry.”
Petra Hess, Project Director of INTERFORST, added:
“Together with DLG, we successfully brought suppliers and forestry machinery manufacturers closer together through SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS Forestry. The new format adds an important perspective to INTERFORST and offers significant potential for the future.”
Outlook
The premiere of SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS Forestry within the framework of INTERFORST provides a foundation for the further development of this format. The next opportunity for innovative suppliers to mobile machinery and OEMs to meet will be SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS 2027, held as part of AGRITECHNICA, from 14 to 20 November 2027 in Hanover, Germany.
