10-13 November 2026 in Hanover, Germany - Theme: "Intelligence in Animal Farming" – TopTierTreff (Top Genetics) in Hall 11 - International Marketplace for Elite Genetics - New: Animal Presentations on a Panoramic Screen - www.eurotier.com

EuroTier, the world's leading trade fair for professional animal farming and livestock management, will take place from 10 to 13 November 2026 at the Hanover Exhibition Grounds in Germany. A key destination for German and international breeders at EuroTier 2026 will once again be the TopTierTreff (“Top Genetics”) in Hall 11, Stand G33. As an international marketplace for elite genetics, leading German and international breeding companies and organizations will present the latest developments in cattle, sheep, goat and horse breeding.

The stage program will run daily from 10:00 a.m. throughout the exhibition. Selected presentations on Wednesday and Thursday will be held in English, while English translations will be available on monitors throughout the event.

At TopTierTreff, breeding experts will present dairy, beef and dual-purpose cattle breeds, including Holstein Friesian, Brown Swiss, Simmental (Fleckvieh), Grey Cattle, Pinzgauer, Angus, Hereford and Wagyu. The focus will be on modern breeding strategies for herd

improvement, genotyping, and performance, health and conformation traits. Discussions will also cover the applications and advantages of individual breeds in sustainable milk and meat production, both nationally and internationally.

Sheep and Goat Breeding

German and international sheep and goat breeds will demonstrate the diversity of modern breeding. Visitors will see native sheep breeds, hair sheep, dairy and meat sheep, as well as dairy goat breeds.

Technical topics will range from sheep farming for nature conservation, landscape management, flood protection and wildfire prevention to the role of sheep farming in the energy transition.

EuroTier will also provide the ideal setting for the final stage of the Hirtenzug 2026 (Shepherds' Journey 2026). In support of the International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists (IYRP 2026), the Hirtenzug will travel across Germany throughout the year and is expected to conclude at the TopTierTreff on Thursday, 12 November, at 1:00 p.m.

 Horse Breeding

Horse breeding will also be represented at the TopTierTreff. Featured breeds include Noriker and Haflinger horses. The presentations will highlight their suitability as popular partners for sport, leisure activities and traditional cultural events.

New: Animal Presentations on a Panoramic Screen

A new feature for 2026 is the presentation of animals via video on a large panoramic screen while they remain at their exhibition stands.

This will allow visitors to gain a detailed impression of individual animals and groups of animals before viewing the breeding stock directly at the exhibitors' stands and speaking with breeding organizations.

Technical Program and Knowledge Transfer

In addition to the animal presentations, TopTierTreff will offer specialist lectures on breeding strategies and a wide range of breeding-related topics.

Participating companies and organizations will provide opportunities for knowledge transfer, networking and innovation exchange within the breeding sector.

Under the guiding theme "Intelligence in Animal Farming", around 2,100 companies and organizations from 55 countries will demonstrate across 13 halls how technology and expertise are shaping the future of livestock production.
