Inhouse Farming – Feed & Food Show 2026: Highlights at a glance

A hub for knowledge transfer and networking – 10–13 November 2026 at the Hanover Trade Fair Grounds – DLG Spotlight and Theme Days offer new perspectives for the value chain – www.inhouse-farming.com

The "Inhouse Farming - Feed & Food Show" is the showcase for agricultural and food systems of the future. The extensive technical programme of the DLG (German Agricultural Society) B2B platform  will address the key issues of tomorrow's value chain at the trade fair grounds in Hanover from 10 to 13 November 2026. The DLG Spotlight and the Theme Days on the Expert Stage offer inspiration, expertise and cross-industry contacts. "Inhouse Farming" optimally complements the world's leading trade fair, EuroTier, and EnergyDecentral, the leading international platform for decentralised energy supply, which will take place at the same time, offering new perspectives and business models for the agri-food sector.

Alternative proteins and circular value chain concepts are among the key issues for the future of the agri-food sector. The DLG Spotlight Inhouse Farming offers visitors an insight into innovative production systems and sustainable solutions for resource-efficient food and feed production. The focus is on practical examples from the fields of insects, edible and medicinal fungi, and aquaculture. The DLG Spotlight is sponsored by REPLOID Group AG. Other contributors to the Spotlight section include Festo SE & Co. KG, LIVIN farms AgriFood GmbH and the Bundesverband Aquakultur e.V.. Together, they demonstrate how side streams can be put to good use, material cycles closed and potential for sustainable value creation tapped into. The DLG Spotlight is located in Hall 25, Stand L22.

From residual material recycling to innovative materials
Mushrooms and earthworms offer great potential for a sustainable circular economy: as a basis for innovative materials, for improving soil quality and animal health, and for converting residual materials into valuable animal feed. On this Theme Day, experts will present tried-and-tested technologies and business models for farming operations.

Wednesday, 11 November 2026 – Aquaculture

Fish, prawns & algae in an indoor system
The Theme Day offers insights into modern recirculating aquaculture systems and photobioreactors. Practical examples from salmon, prawn and algae farms illustrate current developments and potential applications. In addition, integrated energy and production concepts will be presented and discussed. A critical review of current market opportunities, along with an “aquatic happy hour”, will round off the day’s programme.

Thursday, 12 November 2026 – Insects

Insects as a building block of sustainable agricultural systems
The Theme Day brings together perspectives on animal feed and human food: Market potential, processing technologies, legal frameworks, practical experience and operational models. Deep Dives and tastings demonstrate how insects can already create added value today.
