Held alongside EuroTier, the world's leading trade fair for professional animal farming and livestock management, EnergyDecentral 2026 will showcase the latest technologies, solutions, and business models for decentralized energy supply from 10 to 13 November 2026 in Hanover, Germany. The event will offer a comprehensive technical program featuring practical insights into key future topics for both the energy sector and agriculture.

Among the highlights are the new DLG Spotlight "DLG Solar Initiative + On-Farm Energy" and the DLG Expert Stage EnergyDecentral that offer in-depth technical presentations. Both features provide expert knowledge, practical examples, and guidance for investment and operational decision-making in an increasingly dynamic market environment.

DLG Spotlight "DLG Solar Initiative + On-Farm Energy"

With this year’s DLG Spotlight "DLG Solar Initiative + On-Farm Energy", EnergyDecentral positions agricultural businesses as active contributors to the energy transition. The spotlight will demonstrate how farms can use their land and existing infrastructure to become regional energy providers. Key areas of focus include agrivoltaics, battery storage systems, wind power and biogas, as well as the economic and technical benefits of combining these technologies.

Particular attention will be given to integrated energy concepts in which photovoltaics, storage technologies and biogas systems work together flexibly and efficiently. The spotlight will be complemented by practical case studies featuring farms that have successfully implemented innovative energy concepts and created new sources of value.

DLG Expert Stage: Current Developments and Practical Insights

On each of the four days of the exhibition, the DLG Expert Stage EnergyDecentral will offer a compact program of specialist presentations, expert contributions and panel discussions. Topics will include current developments in biogas and biomethane, photovoltaics and energy storage solutions, heat generation from wood, combined heat and power (CHP) systems, and carbon farming.

In addition to technological innovations, the program will examine economic opportunities, regulatory frameworks and political developments shaping the future of the decentralized energy sector. The program is designed for farmers, planners, landowners, investors and other stakeholders seeking reliable information and strategic guidance.

Digital Services: Event App and Planning Tools 

To help visitors prepare for and navigate the exhibition efficiently, an event app will be available, bringing together key information and planning tools in one platform.

The app enables users to search for exhibitors and products, create personalized visit plans and access up-to-date program information at any time. Additional features include interactive hall maps as well as networking and matchmaking functions that help visitors connect with relevant contacts and efficiently schedule meetings during the event.

Getting to EnergyDecentral 2026

The exhibition grounds can be reached conveniently from Hanover Central Station via Tram Line 8 and the additional Line E services, both of which provide direct access to the North Entrance. Alternatively, visitors can take S-Bahn Line S4 to Hannover Messe/Laatzen station.

During EuroTier and EnergyDecentral, numerous long-distance and regional trains will also stop directly at Hannover Messe/Laatzen station, from where West Entrance 1 can be reached within a few minutes via the Skywalk.

Traveling by car is equally convenient. The exhibition grounds are well connected to Germany's motorway network, clearly signposted, and offer ample parking facilities.
