DLG’s SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS Expands into Forestry

First-time cooperation between DLG (German Agricultural Society) and Messe Munich’s INTERFORST

After 15 years as a central part of AGRITECHNICA – the world’s leading trade fair for agricultural technology—the B2B platform SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS is making its debut also in the forestry technology sector. As part of INTERFORST, international trade fair for forestry and forest technology, SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS Forestry will take place in Munich 15–18 October, 2026 with a focus on intelligent forestry system solutions and innovative components. It will serve as a hub for suppliers and interested OEM professionals.

With seven successful editions at AGRITECHNICA since 2011, SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS has become the platform for OEM developers, design engineers, system integrators, and procurement professionals to address application challenges in direct exchange with a broad range of suppliers. SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS’ debut at INTERFORST will now offer forestry equipment manufacturers direct access to suppliers of increasingly sophisticated systems and technologies for intelligent forestry machinery, essential for boosting the machine’s efficiency, sustainability, and performance.

Exhibitors showcasing their products and solutions this autumn as part of SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS Forestry include among others AGCO Power Oy, Contac Solutions, HIFI Filter, HYDAC, Kubota Engines, Sauer Bibus, and Schmitter Hydraulik. AGCO Power Oy, international provider of engine and powertrain solutions, is particularly looking forward to in-person meetings at the event. “INTERFORST in Munich offers an excellent opportunity to meet forestry machine manufacturers and users and to discuss their real‑world challenges face to face. Munich, surrounded by strong forestry expertise, provides the right setting for an open dialogue on reliable, efficient, and sustainable technology,” said Heikki Hihnala, Account Manager at AGCO Power.

To further support this exchange, DLG will be hosting an informal networking event at the SYSTEMS & COMPONENTS Forestry booth at INTERFORST (hall B6 | 235) on 15 October starting 15:00. Industry experts, forestry machinery manufacturers and suppliers will have the opportunity to meet in a relaxed atmosphere, exchange ideas and gain new insights for the future of forestry technology.

On 17 October, DLG will also help coordinate several expert presentations in cooperation with KWF (German Centre for Forest Work and Technology) as part of INTERFORST’s technical programme. Interested visitors will be able to deepen their knowledge on current trends and technological developments in the forestry sector, including:

  • “From Sensor to System: Custom Microelectronic Solutions for Digital Forestry Applications” (Fraunhofer IIS)
  • “AI in Forestry - A Revolution”  (Kuratorium für Waldarbeit und Forsttechnik e.V.)
  • Autonomous Robotics in Forestry - Insight into the Research of AMRL at HAWK Göttingen
