International DLG-Prize 2016

250 emerging young professionals in the agricultural and food industry from 24 different countries have received the award in the past. The 2016 award winners come from the German states of Baden-Wurttemberg, Bavaria, Lower Saxony and Rhineland-Palatinate as well as from Russia

This year, four Advanced Training awards were presented, each worth EUR 4,000.
The winners are:

  • Lisa Gabel from Herxheim am Berg (Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany),
    Master of Wine Business Administration
  • Magdalena Schregle from Gutenzell (Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany),
    Hotel management graduate and student of food management at the University of Weihenstephan-Triesdorf
  • Sergii Aksonov from Hamersen (Lower Saxony, Germany),
    Sales consultant and process optimizer at Tiemann Landtechnik in Sittensen (Lower Saxony)
  • Martina Huber from Postau (Bavaria, Germany),
    Studying for a Master’s degree in Agricultural Engineering at the {University of Hohenheim

In addition, three Junior prizes were awarded, each endowed with EUR 2,500.
The winners are:

  • Thomas Wolf from Fremdingen (Bavaria, Germany),
  • Alina Androsova from Moscow (Russia),
    Bachelor student in Horticulture and Landscaping at the Russian State Agrarian University in Moscow
  • Nico Knapp from Obersulm-Willsbach (Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany),
    Bachelor student in Agricultural Sciences at the University of Hohenheim
