(DLG). At Agritechnica, which will take place in Hanover, Germany, 9-15 November 2025, the International Women in Ag Magazine and the DLG (German Agricultural Society) will confer the international "Women in Ag Award" for the fourth time. The award recognizes professional women who are active in the agricultural industry, including farming, agribusiness, education, technology and research. The deadline for applications is 31 July 2025.

“Women all over the world make great contributions to a sustainable agricultural and food system every day,” says Freya von Czettritz, CEO of DLG Holding. “With the Women in Ag Award, we are putting the spotlight on the achievements of female agricultural scientists, farmers and smart and innovative women from other areas of international agribusiness for the fourth time. Diversity and variety are indispensable pillars of our society and strong drivers of success for the global economy: For us as DLG, it is currently particularly important to reinforce this message of 'empowerment of diversity'. With this in mind, we look forward to many exciting candidates for the Women in Ag Award 2025.”

The “Women in Ag Award” is presented in four categories: “Agriculture”, “Agribusiness”, Education” and Technology & Research”. For the past four years, the Women in Ag award has been presented alternately at EuroTier and Agritechnica.

“I’m delighted that the DLG and Women in Ag Magazine are continuing their collaboration and presenting the annual Women in Ag Award for the fourth time. The award unites women from all over the world:  women who work in agriculture for a common goal which is to be a positive example and motivate other women in our industry,” says Kim Schoukens, Editor and founder of Women in Ag Magazine.

“We are so much more capable than we often give ourselves credit for and we deserve to be a little more proud of ourselves. That's why I want to encourage women in agriculture to stop procrastinating and just apply. I promise you, it will be worth it,” says Kim Schoukens,

“I'm really looking forward to the awards ceremony at Agritechnica 2025 and to meeting all the new candidates and winners and having their stories featured in the upcoming Women in Ag Magazine,” adds Schoukens.

Many of the previous winners of Women in Ag Award will be attending Agritechnica while others will be part of the jury

“It is very inspiring to be among a number of exceptional women working in agriculture around the world, all forging their own path,” says Kate Hoare, winner of the 2023 Women in Ag Award, “Agriculture” category. “I was incredibly honored to receive the Women in Ag Award. And I am very proud to have had the opportunity to showcase my sustainable dairy farm.

“When New Holland approached me to help me put together an application, it was a great opportunity that I couldn't turn down. I think the award is a great way for companies to find outstanding candidates among their customers and employees and nominate them for the Women in Ag Award,” adds Hoare.
