Whether it's blackmail, password theft or data leaks - even your company can be the target of hacker or cyber attacks with potentially serious economic consequences. How can you protect your systems against them?
During the expert panel "Bioeconomy and Innovation," organized with the participation of the DLG, experts presented projects and identified the necessary framework conditions for achieving resource-efficient and financially viable agriculture.
The Nostradamus project, a groundbreaking initiative funded by the Horizon Europe program, will revolutionize agricultural practices through the application of cutting-edge digital technologies.
Drones can be used in a variety of ways in agriculture: these remote-controlled flying objects can not only provide aerial and thermal images for damage detection, surveying, inspecting photovoltaic systems or searching for fawns and wild boar.
The office is the center of attention on a farm. Reason enough to organize the office workplace as efficiently as possible. How do you do that and what do you need to pay special attention to?
Already during the first measurements, the NIR sensor from Dinamica Generale was able to achieve recognition for the total nitrogen content in pig slurry. With version 4.0, new software versions and calibration models are now being used - with a significantly wider range of functions.
At the beginning of 2022, the Bauer Group joined the CCI (Compence Center Isobus) with the brands BSA and Eckart. In addition to the Isobus control of the liquid manure barrels, a near-infrared sensor (NIRS) was also directly integrated into the system. DLG tested the Signo ID 4.2 with the calibration model 6.0.1. from the company BSA GmbH.
Whether with combine, slurry tanker or forage harvester: applying near-infrared spectrometry on materials being handled enables continual assessment in real time for nearly all constituents – depending only on the calibration curve applied. Claas has presented for testing by the DLG a sensor for measuring moisture content in grass harvested for ensiling.
Digitization in agriculture offers many opportunities, but given the extensive networking and system formations it also involves risks. That is why it must be applied carefully so that agricultural production as the essential basis of the legally anchored “Critical Infrastructure Food” (Food Security Act (EVG)) remains assured, even if digital systems should fail for a time or maybe for somewhat longer – for example as a result of sabotage.
