The DLG (German Agricultural Society) has today announced the winners of the DLG Agri Influencer 2024. The award recognizes outstanding profiles of German and international farmers on social media. The “Best Tiktoker”, “Best Instagrammer/Facebooker” and “Best YouTuber” awards are each presented to one German and one international influencer. The winners are Kamil Marunowski (DLG Best Agri Tiktoker International 2024), Benjamin Schmidt (DLG Best Agri Tiktoker in German 2024), Ayşe Öksüz (DLG Best Agri Instagrammer International 2024), Klaas Meier (DLG Best Agri Instagrammer in German 2024), Klemen Bobnar (DLG Best Agri YouTuber International 2024) and Cevin Lorenzen (DLG Best Agri YouTuber in German 2024).

The winners of this year's DLG Agri Influencer Awards will be presented with their awards at the Young Farmers' Party 2024. The party, which requires a ticket, starts on November 14 at 6:30 pm in the Munich hall at EuroTier 2024, the world's leading trade fair for professional animal husbandry and livestock management, which takes place in Hanover, Germany, 12-15 November 2024.

“We are delighted to once again welcome so many faces from the German and international agri-influencer scene to Hanover in Germany. This is our way of recognizing the important work of agricultural influencers in social media. We look forward to honoring the great work of the award winners,” says Theresa Günther, Social Media Manager at DLG – the organizer of EuroTier.

The submissions for the DLG Agri Influencer Award reflect how quickly agricultural communication in social media has evolved: “Over the years, we on the jury have noticed that even profiles with a small reach now post frequently and regularly. The quality has also increased in terms of content and technology. Moreover, many creators are now putting themselves in front of the camera, showing themselves as people and taking their followers to their farms,” says Heike Zeller, aHEU - Regionale Vermarktungsstragien (Regional Marketing Strategies), who chairs the international award jury.

“It's also interesting to see how the influencers' channels and goals differ across countries,” says Katrin Fischer, Chairwoman of the Association of German Agricultural Journalists (VDAJ) and jury member since 2022.

 This year's award winners are:

•    DLG Best Agri TikToker International 2024

Kamil Marunowski @rolnik_na_kazda_okazje

Under the profile name "Farmer for every Occasion", Kamil delights his followers with his mischievous videos. In just 18 months, he has built up a large audience on TikTok which celebrates his sarcastic insights into the life of a normal pig farmer. He points out prejudices against farmers by taking them to extremes, pokes fun at village life, puts intergenerational conflicts on the stage and rewrites well-known songs into farming related subjects. This approach makes the farmer visible as a person, with all his strengths and weaknesses.
The Tiktoker jury particularly appreciates his creative storytelling with gestures, facial expressions and sometimes even costumes.

Kamil Marunowski comes from Pruszcz in Poland and currently has 125,500 followers on TikTok as @rolnik_na_kazda_okazje.

Farmer Benjamin also selects comments from users and responds to them in his own videos and with clear opinions.

She shows her followers her unadorned everyday life in gripping, emotional images and presents videos with split screens and contemporary music. She is particularly keen to communicate modern agriculture to young people and other young farmers.
