Event program

Anuga FoodTec is the leading global trade fair for the food and beverage industry. As a supplier trade fair, it presents visitors with new innovations in food production such as process technology, filling and packaging technology and food safety. The main theme of the Anuga FoodTec’s programme is "Responsibility".

New formats  

To this end, we invite you to look beyond the confines of your own industry and promote interdisciplinary exchange. In addition to the classic lectures, you can become an active part of the programme and contribute your expertise: 

  • Deep Dive: Immerse oneself: Keynote presentations showcasing future technologies, provide best practice examples, state of science and how-to tips.
  • Open Expert Stage: Have a say on the stage: Participants can take the free seat on the podium and join the discussion at eye level with the experts.
  • Science Slam: Explain complex topics entertaining: the slammers present their research in a short and scientifically correct way. The audience decides who wins.
  • Content: Pro vs. Contra: Open up a new perspective: the competition on polarizing topics between two experts is evaluated by the audience.

Main Stage Responsibility

Innovative topics will be presented by speakers and experts from the industry. The main theme of the Anuga FoodTec’s programme is "Responsibility". At the main stage you find cross-industry and sustainable innovations. The concept of sustainability meets the responsibility to drive innovation and to operate responsibly in all processes of the value chain. Long-term success is promised by holistic approaches: from the supplier industry to global raw material procurement, packaging as well as production, logistics and energy or water management.  

Discuss innovative technologies with the experts. Exchange ideas with stakeholders from the entire value chain. Ask your questions: How does cultured meat become climate-neutral? How can production use resources carefully? What is the impact of climate change on food safety? What digital tools are there for process optimization? And a lot more. 

Network and act directly. At the Main Stage you can expect solutions: sustainable packaging, alternative proteins, transparent supply chains, optimized energy and water management, automation, robotics, digitalisation and artificial intelligence.

Innovation Stage

Look into the future: How will we produce our food and beverages of tomorrow? Sustainability is a main factor in the food supply chain. For this purpose, cooperation partners such as start-ups, science, organizations and innovative companies will present their approaches. They provide the "out-of-the-box thinking" which is necessary to establish a responsible future along the value chain. Topics include packaging trends, recycling, sustainable production technologies, alternative protein sources, digitalisation, global supply chains, and tapping into new trends and international markets.  

Get insights on current trends: What is the start-up industry and the science working on? Which innovations have potential? How is today's product development working for tomorrow? Turn the food and beverage technology upside down with us and many partners!
