We bring together experts from all areas of the food value chain in order to promote holistic and future-orientated development of the food industry and provide inspiration for innovative solutions and quality standards.
The Main Committee was set up in 2006 with the task of accompanying the work of the various food-related areas of the Competence Center and supporting its scientific and practical relevance. It also identifies new topics and initiates and encourages appropriate action. The goal is to remain in constant dialogue with current research in these specialist areas.
The DLG Main Committee for Competence Centre Food
The committee members are experts from business, research and education and are chaired by Prof Katharina Riehn. By organising conferences or publishing specialist articles, the committee has the opportunity to position itself and to seek and maintain an exchange with the specialist public. The DLG technical programme at Anuga FoodTec, the world's leading trade fair for food and beverage technology also offer the opportunity to exchange ideas.
The committee meets twice a year, both digitally and in person. Guest participation is possible on request.
