International FoodTec Award 2024 presented

Leading DLG Food Technology Award for pioneering development in terms of innovation, sustainability and efficiency – Award ceremony at Anuga FoodTec in Cologne, Gemany

Together with its trade partners, the DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft – German Agricultural Society), has presented the winners of the International FoodTec Awards 2024. The award ceremony took place at Anuga FoodTec in Cologne, Germany on 19 March 2024. This year, the renowned technology prize will be awarded to 14 innovation projects from the international food and supplier industry. Four innovations received the International FoodTec Award in gold, ten were awarded a silver medal.

DLG Vice President Prof Katharina Riehn presented the certificate and medal with the words: "Your pioneering innovation impressively demonstrates that a spirit of progress and inventiveness paired with the highest engineering skills are always capable of overcoming technological hurdles and tapping into new potential in terms of sustainability and efficiency."

With the International FoodTec Award, the DLG, together with its specialist partners, recognizes pioneering developments in terms of innovation, sustainability and efficiency in the field of food technology. An international jury of experts from the fields of research and teaching as well as representatives from practice selects the most advanced concepts. The prize, which is awarded every three years, is presented in the form of gold and silver medals.

A gold medal recognizes products and services with a new technological concept, the use of which enable a new process or significantly improves existing processes. Silver medals go to existing products that have been technically further developed in such a way that a significant improvement of the current function or the existing process is achieved as a result.
