DLG-Agrifuture Insights - South Africa 2019

Reserved investment confidence, operating agenda with high performance, automation in barn technology and improved feed efficiency

Farmers in South Africa are satisfied with the current business situation, however are unsure about further business development. They are therefore also showing reserved investment confidence. Livestock holders currently see the most important areas of action in questions of productivity, animal health and feeding. Arable farmers put their focus on high-performance technology and irrigation.

The results of DLG-Agrifuture Insights show what expectations farmers have for further business development and what operating decisions they will make in arable, dairy cattle and poultry farming.
