DLG e.V. - France: DLG-Agrifuture Insights Report

Country Report France 2018

High investment confidence, maintenance and operating friendliness important to arable farmers, great interest in animal health, animal welfare and feeding

French farmers evaluate the current business situation as predominantly satisfactory. Investment confidence has slightly increased compared to the previous year, however remains on a low level in a European comparison. Arable farmers intend to invest heavily in soil tillage technology, while livestock holders see the need for investment in barns and sties and in feeding technology.

The results of DLG-Agrifuture Insights show how farmers evaluate the business climate, where cash crop producers, dairy cattle farmers and pig farmers see the greatest challenges and where the focus of their investments lies.
