Investments in livestock are planned

Chart of the month (June/2018)

In Germany, investments are needed to implement animal welfare and environmental requirements from the new fertilizer ordinance, for example by creating additional storage space for manure.

Livestock farmers in South Africa focus on expanding livestock capacities and modernizing their husbandry practices. In Brazil, a quarter of livestock farmers plan to invest in new poultry stables. As global demand for poultry meat is growing, producers want to strengthen their position in export markets and participate in growth.

In Russia it is different. More than every second farmer interviewed in Russia wants to invest in arable farming. The record harvests and exports of recent times create the opportunity and the need to achieve a higher impact and production capacity by modernizing the machinery in order to further expand the current good position.
