The DLG tests yoghurts, custards and desserts

Every year the DLG tests over 400 different yoghurts, fermented milk products and desserts. Producers from all over Europe take part in the international quality tests. About 85% of all dairy companies in Germany send in their products.

Independent experts scrutinise the sensory qualities of the products. These tests are supplemented by laboratory analyses. For example tests examine the taste of yoghurt, or whether a cream dessert is microbiologically pure. The samples are called up from the individual producers without advance notice and tasted by experts.

Depending on the number of scores achieved, the beers are awarded DLG Medals in Bronze, Silver or Gold.
