Manufacturers from Germany and Europe can submit products to the international quality test for spirits.

The tests are divided into a sensory part in which the samples are tasted “incognito”, and a chemical and physical part.

Here the beverages are examined for ingredients, for instance alcohol content, density, sugar and colorants.

Depending on the number of scores achieved, the spirits are awarded DLG Medals in Bronze, Silver or Gold.
