The DLG Quality Test for Margarine and Vegetable Spreads is accredited in accordance with international norms. In the tests each product is assessed in accordance with scientific quality standards and an expert report is produced.
The range of products tested comprises:
- Vegetable Spreads
- Product-specific sensory analysis
appearance (colour + shine), consistency (structure + spreadability) odour, mouthfeel, taste
- Packaging, labelling
- checking of the label
- Analytical parameters (salt content, total aerobic germ count, yeasts/mould fungi, Enterobacteriaceae)
Products that pass the DLG tests receive the “DLG award winner” medal in Gold, Silver or Bronze.
