


The quality test consists of a sensory test and chemical, microbiological or physical examinations of a spot sample.
In confectionery, for instance, the bite and chewing impression also play a role. Each product is tested by a group of at least three experts on the basis of a defined test schedule. The experts take careful selection of raw materials and optimal processing and preparation as the standard for assessment.
Depending on the number of scores achieved, the confectionery and cereal foods are awarded DLG Medals in Bronze, Silver or Gold.
