The DLG tests Confectionery

In the DLG Quality Test for Confectionery each product is tested in accordance with scientific quality standards and an expert report certified in compliance with DIN and ISO is produced

The range of products tested comprises:

  • Chocolate products and sugar-coated chocolate buttons
  • Cereal products with chocolate
  • Confectionery made with oil seeds
  • Sweet spreads
  • Fancy chocolates
  • Aerated confectionery
  • Fat glazes, coatings
  • Confectionery with modified nutritional value

DLG test criteria: 

  • Product-specific sensory analysis Overall appearance, form, exterior surface, decoration, colour, interior appearance, breaking, bite, chewing impression, odour and taste
  • Packaging, labelling including data on nutritional value, resealability, ease of opening
  • Analytical parameters

Confectionery products that pass the DLG tests receive the “DLG award winner” medal in Gold, Silver or Bronze.
