The DLG tests butter

Ergebnisse der Qualitätsprüfung 2008:

Every year the DLG tests over 80 different butter products. Producers from all over Europe take part in the international quality tests. About 85% of all dairy companies in Germany send in their products.

Independent experts scrutinise the sensory qualities of the products. These tests are supplemented by laboratory analyses. The samples are called up from the individual producers without advance notice and tasted by experts.

Depending on the number of scores achieved, the beers are awarded DLG Medals in Bronze, Silver or Gold.
