In the DLG Quality Test for Tea and Infusions each product is tested in accordance with scientific quality standards and an expert report certified in compliance with DIN and ISO is produced.

- Instant tea
Test criteria in the sensory test:
- appearance of the dry product
- appearance of the brew
Instant teas are sampled hot or cold according to the recommended instructions.
The evaluation occurs on the DLG-5-point-scale
Microbiological examination of the dry product:
- Total germ count (aerobic germ count)
- Yeasts (except mint)
- Mould fungi
- Escherichia coli
- Listeria monocytogenes
Analytic testing of instant tea (parameters are depending on product)
Tea and Tea beverages that pass the DLG tests receive the “DLG award winner” medal in Gold, Silver or Bronze.
