FRANKFURT/MAIN, Germany, July 25, 2017 – Agricultural equipment manufacturers are expected to inspire visitors to Agritechnica 2017 in November by exhibiting numerous innovations. The event organizer, DLG (German Agricultural Society) say that more than 300 new products applications have been submitted for judging in the innovation awards at this year's fair, underlining its position as the world's primary forum for the presentation and launch of new agricultural technology and equipment.

There are innovations that apply to almost all areas of agriculture, but the topics with the most applications include:

>  Tractors, mobile loading equipment, transport technology;
> Technology and software for process optimization;
> Machinery and equipment for chopping, mowing, conditioning and baling of mowed material > Crop protection.

A total of 175 exhibitors from 24 countries have registered new products for the first time at this year’s fair. Their entries will be judged for the Agritechnica’s 2017 Gold and Silver Innovation Awards by an independent panel that includes a member appointed by DLG as well as international experts. They will assess the registered innovations and reward those considered to be pioneering developments.

Concepts that introduce a new process or substantially improves a known process will be eligible for a Gold Medal for innovation, while Silver Medals are awarded for product developments that result in a substantial improvement of a function or process.

The presentation of the Agritechnica 2017 Gold Innovation Awards will be made by DLG President Carl-Albrecht Bartmer as part of the traditional Max Eyth evening at the event on Monday, 13 November. Bartmer will also present the Silver Innovation Awards at a special ceremony to be held on the first day of the show on Sunday, 12 November.

Agritechnica 2017 will take place at Hanover’s exhibition grounds from the 12 to 18 November (with special preview days on 12 and 13 November). More than 2,500 exhibitors from all over the world have registered to take part.
