Agritechnica represented at Argentina’s Expoagro fair in March

Booth in international sector

Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 14th February, 2017 – Visitors to Argentina’s largest farming exhibition, Expoagro, will have the opportunity to find out more about Agritechnica, the world’s leading trade fair for agricultural machinery, that takes place every two years in Germany.
Representatives from Agritechnica’s organizer, DLG (German Agricultural Society), will be present at the Expoagro event, which will take place for the first time at a new permanent site at San Nicolás, Buenos Aires, from 7-10 March. Agritechnica represenatives will provide detailed information on the program for this year’s trade fair and how farmers and industry experts can attend the European event. The Agritechnica booth can be found in the international sector of Expoagro.
Agritechnica attracted close to 100,000 international visitors in 2015 out of a total of 452,000 visitors. Visitors included 1200 farming experts from Latin America. Argentina is the eighth largest country in the world by surface area, and while 54 percent of that is used for agriculture, only 14 percent is suitable for cropping. About 5 percent of the population works in farming. The DLG team will be working hard to attract more representatives of the country’s agricultural sector to the Wolrd’s number one agricultural machinery exhibition, which takes place mid-November in Hanover Germany.
Agritechnica has been hosting Argentinean country pavilions since 2007. An agreement between Agritechnica and Expoagro, signed in 2008, marked the beginning of a fruitful transatlantic alliance with benefits for all partners involved. The partnership mutually promotes the two shows as the most important agricultural machinery information platforms for exhibitors and visitors from both continents. Since 2009 DLG has provided two experts in the innovations commissions jury of Expoagro in order to include an European point of view in the evaluation of the innovations submitted.
One of Expoagro’s gold award- winners in the Ternium Expoagro Award will be displaying their technology both in the Argentinian pavilion at Agritechnica, and also in the show “Special” - this year dedicated to the future of crop protection.
Agritechnica offers an unparalleled range of solutions well-suited to Argentinian farmers. Visitors can discover for themselves the latest and most comprehensive range of equipment and solutions, from tractors and harvesters to farming 4.0 solutions
Agritechnica 2017 takes place from 12-18 November at Hanover’s Exhibition Grounds. More than 452,000 visitors and 2,892 exhibitors attended the event in 2015, making it the world’s largest trade fair dedicated to agricultural machinery and technology.
