To support young professionals in their personal development, the DLG (German Agricultural Society) awards the International DLG-Prize for advanced training scholarships yearly.
There are two categories considered by the award. In the junior category, endowed with 2.500 Euro, young professionals still in vocational training or course of study between 18 and 24 years of age will be awarded.
The category of advanced training, which is endowed with 4.000 Euro, aims young professionals who have already completed their training or education aged up to 36 years.
Applicants must have good technical qualifications, being honorary engaged and have interest in international activities. To finish the application you won´t need more than 60 minutes of time. The chances are good!
Applications are invited from practical farmers and young entrepreneurs in the agriculture and food sector and respective upstream and downstream sectors. Furthermore, young professionals in agriculture, associations, cooperatives and private companies, agricultural administration or in adjacent areas, universities and graduates of agriculture and food sciences as well as forestry and logging and in veterinary medicine are highly welcome to apply.
A letter of recommendation is mandatory for the application. Professional organisations, universities, universities of applied sciences or other appropriate institutions/persons, who are familiar with your qualifications, can nominate you.
Please note that the submitted documents must be in English or German.
Application deadline is the 1st of February 2017. The award ceremony of the International DLG-Prize will take place at the Young DLG annual conference in 2017.
