Quality promotion in the food industry The DLG promotes the product quality of foods on the basis of impartial and binding quality standards. Its quality understanding is based on current scientific findings and self-developed, recognised methods. With its international competitions the DLG is Europe’s leader in quality assessment.
Every year some 22,000 foods from Germany and other countries are tested in the DLG tests. The "DLG Award-winner" label is only granted to foods with sound sensory qualities that satisfy the DLG’s quality criteria in accordance with stringent requirements.
