Frankfurt/Main, Germany, 18th January 2016 - AgroFarm 2016, Russia's leading exhibition for the livestock sector, takes place this week in Moscow. The organizers, DLG International, OAO and VDNH, have announced that 360 exhibitors from 27 countries will take part this year, which marks the event’s 10th anniversary.
Held annually and taking place in Hall 75 at the VDNH exhibition center, the show offers a broad range of technologies and services for key livestock sectors including:
  • Poultry;
  • Pigs;
  • Dairy and beef cattle;
  • Goats and rabbits;
  • Aquaculture.
A truly international event, AgroFarm 2016 will welcome exhibitors from Germany, Italy, Denmark, China, Belarus and the USA, as well as many other countries. In fact, approximately 44% of the companies represented are based outside of Russia. The official opening will take place at the exhibition in hall 75 at 14:00 on 19th January 2016, and will include the “The best at AgroFarm” awards ceremony.

To support the requirement for specialist information within the Russian livestock sector, AgroFarm includes an extensive business program with some 40 expert forums, presentations and seminars. This allows visitors to exchange information with opinion leaders and industry experts on key topics that can help develop their businesses.

The highlight this year is the business forum titled Financing and insurance services for animal production and processing that takes place at 15:00 on 19th January in conference room 1 in Hall 75. The business forum will be opened by Evgeniy Gromyko, the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, and will include presentations reflecting the current situation and development of investment activities in Russian agriculture. There will also be case studies and information on government financing programs, and models used by credit and finance institutions.
Another important event is the round table meeting titled Local content: market demand, supplier incentives and investors’ expectations, which is expected to attract a great deal of attention from the industry professionals attending AgroFarm 2016. Taking place on 19th January 2016 from 17:00 to 18:30, and with attendance at the invitation of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, this event is aimed at senior executives and managers, and will be be conducted in English with the aid of auditory systems and translation assistance.

Russia is currently focused on developing national food production within the country. This involves not just food production, but also livestock technologies, feed and veterinary products.

AgroFarm 2016 will allow both Russian and foreign CEOs and senior managers in the agricultural industry – representing livestock technologies, genetics, feed, animal health, and dairy and meat production – to have the opportunity to enter into a dialogue with key Russian politicians and representatives from their respective ministries. They will be able to discuss the outlook of the Russian market, and also strengthen business links through negotiation.

Participants will include:
  • Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation;
  • Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation;
  • Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation;
  • Eurasian Economic Commission.

The event will provide companies currently operating in Russia with the opportunity to ask specific questions and raise their point of view with representatives of the Russian government in an informal setting.

This extensive technical program makes AgroFarm more than just an exhibition, turning it into a key industry information portal. Attendance at the forums, presentations and seminars is free-of-charge, as long as delegates register in advance, and co-organizer DLG's expertise in agriculture ensures that AgroFarm will deliver key, industry-sensitive information in the most visitor friendly way.
